About Eventis
Eventis Sports Marketing Ltd was founded in 2002 by Peter Nicol, MBE, Tim Garner and Angus Kirkland. All three directors played on the Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Tour and the company's main focus was initially on promoting international Squash events.
Our Mission
"To deliver unique sporting events in spectacular venues, creating high value experiences for clients and spectators alike, whilst promoting & supporting the sport itself."
Eventis Sports has a willingness to embrace community, consumers and current/future stakeholders to the highest practical standard of ethical business practice.
Eventis have produced from inception to completion two international squash events that have been venue led. The first event Eventis inaugurated was the English Open Squash Championships (2003-2007) which was held at the famous Crucible Theatre in Sheffield and subsequently the English Institute of Sport. In 2004 Eventis produced the first Canary Wharf Squash Classic, at the East Wintergarden in Canary Wharf, which celebrated its 17th year in 2020. Both events have showcased the world’s best players to live and television audiences.
Eventis directors have also been involved at tournament directors of several World Squash Championships, the World Tour Finals, the British Open and numerous other high profile squash events. Eventis also owns the Eventis Pro Court, a state of the art 4-glass-walled Courtwall court that has been hired for use all over Europe.
In 2005 Eventis inaugurated the annual World Squash Awards as a means to bring together the squash community to celebrate the achievements of the games leading players (past and present). Soon after the company came up with the concept of an annual World of Squash Golf Day, which has now also been successfully going for over a decade.
"Having worked closely with Eventis since 2003 the Arts & Events department have developed an excellent working relationship with them. We have found Eventis to be the perfect company to deal with from the start of the process through to the final."
Lucie Moore, Head of Arts & Events, Canary Wharf
The company has an excellent and close working relationship with all of the games governing bodies – Professional Squash Association, World Squash Federation and England Squash.
